5 Dog Breeds That Need Extra Attention and Why

Dogs are man’s closest companions; different breeds have unique characteristics and personalities. However, some dog breeds are relatively fragile in the wild and require extra attention and care from their owners to ensure their safety and happiness. Below, we’ll look at five dog breeds that need extra attention and how to provide better care.

1. French Bulldog – gentle but needs extra care

Known for their gentle temperaments, French Bulldogs are often a great choice for family pets. However, due to their docile nature, they can face challenges surviving in the wild. Their small size and low aggressiveness make them easy targets for other dogs. Therefore, owners must ensure their French Bulldogs receive the correct exercise to maintain good health and self-preservation.

2. Pomeranian – small and delicate but easily timid

Although Pomeranians may be fearless at home, they often become timid once outside, especially around other stray dogs. Due to their small size, Pomeranians lack the strength to compete with other dogs, so survival in the wild requires extra care. The owner must patiently train the Pomeranian to improve its self-defense ability, and the long hair must be trimmed and combed regularly.

3. Corgis – loved by short legs

Corgis are beloved for their cute little legs, but this trait makes them relatively weak in combat. Once they become stray dogs, it is difficult for Corgis to be self-sufficient in the wild, and they usually have to rely on their cuteness to obtain food. While controlling the diet, the owner needs to pay special attention to protecting Corgi’s spine and lumbar intervertebral discs to prevent obesity from burdening the body.

4. Chihuahua – charming but fragile

Chihuahuas are one of the smallest breeds in the dog world, and while they are not typically aggressive, they require caution when surviving in the wild. Owners need to train their Chihuahuas not to bark to protect themselves.

5. Bichon Frize – gentle but needs love

Bichons are as docile and obedient as Pomeranians but can face challenges surviving in the wild if they accidentally get lost. Owners need to pay special attention to the safety of Bichon Frize dogs and ensure that they are not bullied outside.

Each dog breed is unique and requires different levels of love and care. With proper training and care, we can ensure that our furry companions live happy and fulfilling lives at home and in the wild.
